I was just put on Geodon, and i am a little scared to take it because of the side affects. Has anyone taken this medication, and can give me info on it.

I have never taken geodon, and I am not a professional
As far as I can tell geodon is for bipolar disorder and I would ask you if thats what you were diagnosed as.
If you have any concerns about medicines that you have been prescribed it is your doctors responsibility to answer them and make you feel comfortable in this decision
You might ask your doctor if its ok to take half a pill a day for a week or so in order to get acustomed to the new med.
Or is there one with less side effects?

I was prescribed Geodon this past year. I was already on Zoloft, and Cymbalta..so I felt a little scared also! The first two days I got very sleepy within an hour or so of taking it, and took a two hour nap both days. After that I did not notice any side effects at all. I had the doctor slowly take me off it because he had prescribed it because he asked me of I got angry without any reason...I answered yes sometimes..Later I decided that my feeling angry from time to time was not a good enough reason to take Geodon. I was on Geodon for about one year. I hope this helps!
