Hi- Thank you for your question. The half-life of Xanax is about 12 hours, meaning that it takes roughly 12 hours for half of one dose to be eliminated from your system. Then half of what's remaining will take another 12 hours to be eliminated. That pattern continues until everything's gone - about 3-4 days for one dose of immediate release Xanax. If you're taking the extended release, it might last a little bit longer. I hope this helps! Casey
