Q: is there a type of depression linked to grieving

I lost my sister 7 years ago and also recently lost my father. I am studying psychology as part of an access course i an doing and thought that this would be a great help to research and able me to produce an assignment. My mother has suffered a great deal during these last 7 years and feel it would be helpful for me to gain further understanding of loss and depression. I would be greatful for any information you could provide.

Thanking you in advance

Your mother might do well to get some therapy/counseling on this matter.
