Q: can lexapro cause some type schizophrenia

Hi, Kendall. I don't think Lexapro is supposed to cause schizophrenia, but I think it's very important to tell your doctor what's going on. I have had that experience, as well, and I think it was just part of the depression. Anyway, teenagers need to be especially watchful while on antidepressants because they may affect you differently than they do adults, so please tell your parents or your doctor so they can determine the cause.
