is nortripyline also used for migraines?

The doctor gave this drug, Nortripyline...said it would prevent my migraines...I need to know if this is true

Yes, nortriptyline is also used for Migraine prevention. One thing to know is that none of the medications used for that purpose work for everyone. Also, it can take up to three months to know if it's going to work for you.
