Hi Jessica

May we ask...how much Xanax were you/are you taking on a daily basis and...how are you getting it?

I know this must be very frightening for you.  I do agree that you probably should consult with a doctor about this.  Do you have a general practitioner?

Here is some information we have about Xanax and precautions and side effects.  One thing I want to caution you about is that if you are breast feeding...there can be side effects for your baby.

Parenting is such a hard job...and you have your hands full.  Do you have any supports?  If anxiety is an issue for you...this would be a good time to see a therapist.  I have resources for you if you need help in finding a therapist.

I am glad you came here.  But please do see a doctor.  Let me know if you need any further resources.

Jessica, in addition to what Michel said, I think you should find a psychiatrist and/or psychologist to help you with the depression and anxiety.  Where are you getting the Xanax from?  What would you do if you ran out?  If you have several withdrawal symptoms, you could go to an emergency room or urgent care center, or just call a clinic and try to see a physician.  Don't be afraid of telling a doctor, their job is not to judge you but to help you.  Until you can see a doctor, just try to slowly lower the dose so that withdrawals aren't so severe.  I wish you the best and hope you'll let us know how you're doing.

You should get your hormone levels checked. Reply
