Hi Stacy,

I had a gall bladder problem quite a long time ago. I remember tight pains in my lower back and abdomen. I'm not sure about the swallowing and sternum. As I recall. it was very painful until I had surgery to remove my gall bladder. It was a long time ago.

When I read your question, my first thought was the MS Hug. I have not had this symptom. Here is an article that might help you decide if it might be, "The 'MS Hug' Demystified."

The best way to know, of course, is to chat with your doctor. That way, you will know for sure what you have. You may also get treatment that eases your pain.

Please let us know what the doctor says and how you are getting along.
