There is no age limit for antidepressants. Lexapro was pretty harsh when I first started taking it. So I took half a pill to build up for a week. But I got myself away from prescriptions and use 5-htp and vitamins.

Good luck,

Hello!

Depression is a personal health issue for me....

This is a question that really can't be answered by anyone but your doctor. Lexapro is FDA approved for adults 18 and older.

However, it's safety is affected by other things too. When determining if it's safe for YOU, all health issues you're dealing with and all medications and supplements you're taking have to be taken into consideration.

Good luck,

Teri
