Hi, Rose -
I'm not a psychiatrist or physician, but I can speak from my own experience. For me, at least, there has not been a negative reaction. I have often had prescriptions for psychostimulants like ritalin - aderall is also widely prescribed. I took the ritalin to sustain mental energy and focus throughout the day. Loss of energy and focus is a common symptom of depression, and I found that Prozac and the other antidepressants that deal with serotonin do not help with the energy problem.
I understand, though, that there are rare cases of negative interaction with antidepressants that increase the amount of serotonin - as Prozac does, and some people also have negative reactions to ritalin independent of any drug interaction with antidepressants.
Bear in mind, though, that everyone reacts differently to these drugs, and my experience (or that of any other individual) may not reflect your daughter's reactions. If she does have negative side effects from the interaction, contact her doctor immediately to discuss the problem.
John
