Hi Jitos   I know it must seem an eternity because you have finally made up your mind to go seek help after all this time and now you have to wait some weeks.  Did you tell them the urgency of your need to see someone?    The thing is...even if you started on an anti-depressant today...most take 6 weeks or even longer to truly kick in and begin to make you feel better.    If you are feeling suicidal then I would tell them this.  There are also hotlines you could call if things reach a point where you don't know what else to do.   But I have a feeling that you are probably going to have to stick it out and wait the two weeks.  Take things moment to moment, day by day until you can be seen.  There are no miracle cures for depression.  Everything takes time.    There is an on-line depression support group here with lots of wonderful people.  This might be of help to you during these weeks.  Here is the link.   Wish I had more to offer you.  Hang in there...it is going to get better.
