Hi there

You certainly are dealing with a lot.  I am so sorry you lost your therapist.  That must have been very emotionally painful.

In seeking therapy...this is a good step you are taking.  What does your therapist say about all this?  How about your regular medical doctor?

Is there any information that you need from us here?  I am unsure of what you may be asking.

Please do keep writing here if that helps.  There are many people here dealing with both physical problems as well as a mood disorder.  Nobody can know exactly what you are dealing with but we can share the journey.

Hang in there.

First and foremost, I am truly sorry you are being alienated and are feeling so alone. We as PID people have much to contend with, and at times it is hard to understand our selves why we are always sick, even when on IVIG. Depression is the next step with having a chronic illness, it is like, are we not going through enough? You add on the survival's guilt and it just seems to become overwhelming. Fibromylgia is a part of PID, I have it as well, and was told because I had PID and the pathogens have destroyed soft tissue. I have seen three specialists and all three have different opinions, i.e. ways of treatment for PID and I think that is part of the problem as well. I am very rare, and they're is not much money or evidence to go on. I am sorry you are not getting your IVIG, what is the reason and can you contact speciality pharmacies to help with this. I was told by ACCREDO they have grants to help those whom do not have or have been denied by they're insurance. Accredo is a speciality pharmacy, you can aslo contact Bioscript. Have you contacted the PID group, they maybe able to direct you to someone to help. Contact your local offical as well, you need to be your own support system, I know it is hard. The pain can be so bad, your brain freezes and if you have any more to deal with you might burst, I do understand.

I have CVID and have suffered from depression most of my adult life.  I am disabled and suffer from othe chronic conditions one fibromyagia.  I can well understand you must be in much physical pain but emotionally the loss of your confidant must be devastating.  I have often found depression to be a terribly painful disease (mentally).  The addition of your daughter's condition and problems of which perhaps you might feel some guilt can't help things.

You must be a strong woman to have come so far with so much going on.  I think you said you were going to get IVIG treatments I think that will help tremendously.  Doctors and people don't realize that often the frequent infections bring on flars of fibro and there you are in a nightmare cycle. Never really able to get your head above water so you can feel better physically and then you can tackle the depression that is brought on from other things not just illness.

I have a son who has been in and out of various kinds of trouble since his teens.  He has disappeared for months at time.  I feared he was dead.  I feel guilt and question myself so much wondering what I could of done better or different.  But what is is.  God has a plan.  Every thing is as it is supposed to be.   I just have to remember to give him to God.  I still live with pain but sometimes I see God holding my son in his arms and I know a few moments peace.

I used to question why did I have to be ill or have so many things go wrong in my life.  Then I heard at wedding the minister that God gives us enough pain to teach us compassion.

I don't wonder why any more.  I get tired with life. I get frustrated with society and my family because they don't understand how to deal with the chronically ill.  If your dying that's ok.  If your sick for a week or two ok. This on going stuff never.  They get angry with you for so many reasons.  They want you to be what you where, their scared, they hate the inconvience to their lives.  Do you think society or family ever wonder what the hell we're going through.

Well my spelling is horrible. Take care get treatment. Don't let the insurance companies screw you.  You can sigh up for certificates (with the drug company) at least that's what they used to call them and for every three IVIG treatments you get one certificate which entities you to an IVIG if something happens to your insurance.

Take care. God Bless. You and your daughter are in my prayers.
