Q: Will taking NyQuil for sleep interfere with my other meds?

I'm taking 1mg of Ativan and 10mg of Ambien at night for sleep. That is not helping me sleep. I am still having racing thoughts. I was wondering if I took NyQuil to help me sleep...will that interfere with any of my medicines? I also am taking Invega 3mg in the morning.

Strawberries, at the very least, ask your pharmacist about this. I have a feeling that there could be a negative effect when you're taking sleeping medication already. Otherwise, talk to your doctor and tell him these meds aren't helping you sleep. It's no fun having insomnia, I know. Good luck.

have you asked your dr. for meds to help you sleep? I had to due to racing thoughts im sure they can find something for you like trazadone or syraqel. just in case call a pharmacy hope i helped robbie

I think I am prescribed Ativan and Ambien for sleep. I still have the racing thoughts. I have tried Trazodone and Seroquel, both did not help or gave me side effects. Thanks for the reply, though.
