I am going to be therapy with a bright six year old girl whose father committed suicide. He was a policeman and so at this point mom told her that he was killed by a bad man on the job. Mom knows that she needs to tell her the truth. Any rxs about how to help mom do this, and then, how to treat the child?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience but this situation is a new one for me.
