Q: what happens if wellbutrin is taken with HDAD ritilin type drugs

48yr old male has been taking wellbutrin for 18mths but doesn't appear clinically depressed. He is srtuggling with Neurologic symptoms from lymes. Because he can't focus they just added a ritilin type drug. Could these have opppsite effects?

Hi, Fox.  That combination shouldn't be a problem - I have a son who takes both of those drugs, as well as Abilify, and he's doing fine.  I'm assuming that whoever prescribed the ritalin knew about the Wellbutrin.  Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it.  Just to ease your mind, you could ask your pharmacist.
