Hi -
That's a pretty complicated question that only a physician teaming with a psychiatrist could probably answer - and those of us who answer these questions are not professional health providers. I haven't heard of serotonin syndrome coming on as a result of taking a prescribed dose of a single SSRI antidepressant, especially when starting and stopping gradually- but that doesn't say anything about your possible reaction.
It depends on a number of things - like chemical interactions with other drugs you're taking, how your own particular physiology handles the combination of illnesses you have, plus your medical history as a whole. It's impossible to generalize, so please consult your doctor whenever you have a concern. You have a right to know what each prescribed medication does to your system and what its side effects might be before you take it.
John
