The programs offered by the drug companies are usually only for brand name medications. The local pharmacies often have the generic medications on their low-cost formulary (such as Wal-Mart's $4 plan). Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, and Walgreens (and possibly others) all have low-cost plans where you can get a 30-day or 90-day supply of certain medications for a set price, usually $4-5 for a 30-day supply and $10-12 for a 90-day supply. Check with the local pharmacies to see what they offer, and then speak with your doctor about which of those medications could be beneficial for you.   I hope this helps-  Casey
