Suicide is one of the leading causes of death in adolescents. Although suicide contagion is a possibility, where one suicide can lead to others, it is also possible to prevent suicide. Parents, teachers and adults should look to recognize the signs of serious depression in teenagers and young adults and discuss suicide with them.
