About 20 percent to 30 percent of depression patients do not respond to treatment.  If your medication is not working, you should look into switching to another type of medication as well as talking to your doctor. If switching medication does not work, there is a chance your vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) may be an option. The FDA has approved an inplant that can be inplemented under your skin.
