Seroquel XR, a drug used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, may help ease symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), researchers say. In a new study, GAD patients were given either Seroquel XR, the antidepressant/anti-anxiety med Lexapro, or a placebo.
