Childhood stress tied to adult mental disorders

Adults in treatment for severe mental disorders have experienced greater levels of childhood stress than adults who don't have psychiatric disorders, German researchers have found. In a recent study, scientists compared lifetime stress levels among 96 adults with major depression, schizophrenia, drug addiction, or personality disorder and 31 non-psychiatric adults.
