Scientists at Leiden University in the Netherlands have found that drinking alcohol reduces people's risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylarthropathy, and other joint conditions. In a study of almost 7,000 people, the researchers found that alcohol consumption reduced people's risk of these diseases by 62 percent to 73 percent.
