The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is reporting that the antidepressant Norpramin (desipramine hydrochloride tablets USP) should be given with extreme caution to patients with a history of certain heart problems. These heart conditions include a family history of sudden death, heart conduction problems, and abnormal heart rhythms.
