A simple personality test may help doctors discern between a common
type of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Researchers say patients
who exhibit passive behaviors such as disinterest in hobbies,
apathy, or diminished emotional responses are twice as likely to
have dementia with Lewy bodies rather than Alzheimer's. Being able
to determine which form of dementia a patient has can lead to
better medication options, experts say.
