Spanish researchers have found that the cocoa in chocolate appears to be healthy for the heart. In the study, scientists put 42 men and women on a diet that included either 1.4 ounces of unsweetened cocoa powder mixed with skim milk daily, or plain skim milk. They found that after 30 days, those who drank the cocoa-flavored milk had lower levels of inflammatory markers associated with heart disease than those who drank the plain milk.
