Ohio State University researchers have found that exposure to too much light at night may cause depression. In their study, the scientists found that mice who were exposed to a lighted room 24 hours a day had more symptoms of depression than mice who experienced a normal day-night cycle. Mice who lived in a constantly lit room but who could seek refuge in a dark tube when they wanted also had fewer depression symptoms.
