Counseling Techniques For Children

Researchers at the University of Minnesota say that children who suffer from arthritis need more help and information when they approach adulthood to ensure that they get adequate health care as adults. In a recent study, investigators found that only 20 percent of adolescents with arthritis received counseling on such issues as obtaining health insurance after turning 18. Experts say these findings are on par with other national surveys on teens who live with special healthcare needs.
