Older adults can cut their cholesterol levels by reducing their fat intake, researchers say, even if these adults are already taking statins to get their cholesterol under control. For the study, scientists looked at 10 years' worth of data on 900 adults ages 49 years and older. Some of these adults were on a statin at the start of the study, but most were not.
