Researchers say a brain receptor that acts as a kind of traffic cop may be linked to Alzheimer's disease. The study found that if the receptor was faulty it lost the ability to regulate other proteins. The unregulated protein may then litter the brain and cause the plaque buildup associated with Alzheimer's.
