Experts with the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force are urging primary care doctors to routinely screen their teen patients for depression. According to a new report from the task force, the benefits of screening kids 12 to 18 years old outweigh any risks if doctors can assure an accurate diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
