An on-going research project is trying to identify which people are most at risk for developing anxiety and depression. Researchers are four years into an eight-year study evaluating 650 students to identify risk factors for the two common mental health conditions. They think that teenagers who frequently feel fear, anxiety, guilt, shame, sadness or anger are more likely to develop depression and/or anxiety later in life.
