People living with anxiety and depression often feel that medication or therapy are their only choices for finding relief from their condition. But research suggests that exercise may offer a third alternative for treatment. Experts say exercise can be particularly helpful for people who suffer from mild-to-moderate depression, and that though the use of exercise to treat anxiety is less well studied, initial research looks promising.
