According to a new survey from Consumer Reports, Americans prefer taking drugs to talk therapy to treat their anxiety and depression, with almost 80 percent taking medications to treat these conditions. The survey also found that the most popular class of depression drugs remains SSRIs such as Prozac, while newer, pricier antidepressants were found to be less desirable because of their side effects.
