Study: Medicaid co-pays reduce use of meds

Adding even small co-pays to Medicaid prescription drug plans reduces the use of medications in patients with chronic conditions, according to a new study. Oregon researchers examined pharmacy data on about 117,000 Medicare enrollees with depression, schizophrenia, respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.
