Music may ease depression

Many people listen to music to lift their spirits, but new research suggests that listening to or creating music may be an effective depression treatment. Researchers at the Cochrane Collaboration reviewed five studies that looked at the effects of music therapy in people who suffered from depression. They found that treatments that used music therapy reduced depression symptoms more effectively than treatments that didn't include music. Read more »
