Physicians, patients differ in view of ulcerative colitis impact

Three out of four patients with ulcerative colitis say feeling unwell is a normal part of life, but doctors estimate that to be true for only 37 percent of their patients, a new series of surveys suggests. The surveys signal a difference between what doctors believe the 'real world' impact of colitis is and what patients actually experience. Experts say that these results show that doctors and patients need to have better communication regarding the day-to-day management of the disease. Read more »
