Researchers in South Carolina have found that treatment with a nerve-stimulation therapy may help patients with treatment-resistant depression. Chronically depressed patients in the study experienced a 50-percent improvement in their depression symptoms after being treated with Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy. The therapy is already approved as a treatment for seizures in adults and teens.
