Drugmaker Targacept reports that one of its new medications will soon be entering Phase I clinical trials. The med, mecamylamine, is being tested as an add-on treatment to current depression medications for patients who don't respond to the antidepressants alone. Targacept plans to complete the first two trials for the med in 2008.
