Older men who have low testosterone levels may have a higher risk of depression, Australian researchers have found. In a study of 3,987 men between the ages of 71 and 89, scientists found that the 203 men who met the criteria for depression had significantly lower testosterone levels than the men who weren't depressed. Overall, the men with the lowest testosterone levels were three times more likely to suffer from depression than men with normal levels of the hormone.
