Psychiatrists at UT Southwestern Medical Center have found that more that one-third of teenagers with treatment-resistant depression became symptom-free six months after changing their medications or combining a drug switch with cognitive behavioral therapy. Researchers say their finding offers hope for parents and teenagers that being persistent in seeking treatment will lead to recovery in some patients.
