Doctors may be less likely to prescribe sleeping medications to patients who have insomnia and depression, anxiety, or other mood disorders, according to a new study. An analysis of treatment patterns found that insomnia patients with mental health disorders were 36 percent less likely to receive medication for their sleeping problems than patients without a mental health diagnosis.
