Study: Nicotine in breast milk disrupts baby's sleep

Babies slept less and woke from naps sooner when their mothers smoked before breastfeeding, researchers have found. The level of sleep disruption was found to be directly related to the dose of nicotine babies received from their mother's milk. Researchers note the long-term developmental effect of nicotine in breast milk needs further study. Read more »
