Johns Hopkins researchers have identified two factors that predict depression in people after they've been hospitalized in an intensive care unit. Investigators looked at 160 people who'd been hospitalized with acute lung injury, a respiratory syndrome that typically requires invasive procedures such as the use of ventilators.
