Researchers have found encouraging news about activities that may help people with mild depression. Common activities like exercise, chess, or massage may help people manage their mild depression without the use of medications like Prozac and Zoloft. The researchers stress, however, that alternative or complimentary therapies--including herbal supplements--probably will not do much to ease more severe forms of depression.
