Ways To Treat Depression

Meds+therapy best treatment for depressed teens

A combination of psychotherapy and antidepressants is the best way to treat teens who suffer from depression and suicidal behavior, a new study suggests. Duke University researchers followed 327 teens who were treated with either Prozac, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), or a combination of both. Though all three groups showed decreased depression, the greatest reduction--71 percent--was seen in teens treated with the med/CBT combination. Read more »
