Adding Abilify to antidepressant therapy significantly improved major depressive disorder (MDD) patients' symptoms in a recent study. Researchers added either Abilify or a placebo to the treatment regimens of MDD patients who did not have an adequate response to antidepressants alone. The results showed that patients who were given Abilify improved their scores on a depression rating scale more than those who were given a placebo.
