A new study suggests that the drug-addiction medication naltrexone
may treat Crohn's disease. Researchers say that 89 percent of the
patients who took naltrexone showed improvement in intestinal
inflammation, and 67 percent of the patients went into Crohn's
remission. Naltrexone is currently used to treat symptoms of
alcoholism and drug addiction.
