The YAZ pill should be available in the U.S. as a contraceptive by April 2006, says the manufacturer. But its use as an alternative to Paxil, Zoloft, and other drugs in treating premenstrual dysphoric disorder is still pending approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
