Insomnia may prolong depression for older patients

A new study has reinforced the idea that older adults often have
persistent insomnia and depression at the same time. This research
focused on 1,801 patients 60 years or older who were depressed and
had completed a prior clinical trial for treating the condition.
Patients with persistent insomnia were more likely to remain
depressed than patients with no insomnia.
