Avoid pistachios, FDA says

Officials at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are warning consumers not to eat any products containing pistachios because the nuts may be contaminated with salmonella. The FDA said California-based Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella Inc., the nation's second-largest pistachio processor, was voluntarily recalling more than two million pounds of its roasted nuts shipped since last fall because of possible contamination with the bacteria. Officials say consumers should avoid eating pistachio products, and that they should hold onto those products.  Read full story >
