Severe depression linked to heart patient deaths

According to a new study, patients who suffer from severe depression before having a cardiac event such as a heart attack are more likely to die than patients who suffer from less serious forms of depression. In fact, researchers found that severely depressed people who have a heart-related problem have nearly double the risk of dying over a seven-year period compared with other depressed patients.  Read full story >
